This book is an author catalog of the peat research materials in the Natural Resources Library at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Basic bibliographic information is given for each document in the collection. Book entries include principal author, title, place of publication, publisher, pagination, and date. For periodical articles, the source of publication is noted. A call number following each entry shows the location of the item in the Natural Resources Library. Also in electronic format, the complete author catalog is available on a floppy disk (double sided, high density) inside the back cover of this document. The text was compiled in WordPerfect, Version 5.0. The file name is: Farnham.pea. Subject access to this collection is provided by a companion volume titled The Farnham Peat Collection: A Subject Catalog of Peat Research Materials in the Natural Resources Library. In addition, the electronic version of the author catalog can be searched for keywords, using the “Search” feature in WordPerfect. The peat holdings in the Natural Resources Library are almost entirely the personal library of Dr. Rouse S. Farnham, professor of Soil Science at the University of Minnesota, now retired. Dr. Farnham donated his library to the Natural Resources Research Institute at the University of Minnesota, Duluth, in 1986. This collection is international in scope.
