Long Prairie High School (Minnesota): Lyrics to School’s Fight Song and Pennant, With Indian Mascot

LONG PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOL (MINNESOTA)

For decades, Long Prairie High School (Minnesota) connected with the town’s heritage by featuring an Indian for the school’s mascot. The school celebrated its sports teams, commonly called the “Long Prairie Indians.” The school’s pennant featured an Indian with a lone feather on his head along with the words “Long Prairie Indians” displayed in black on an orange background.

LONG PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOL FIGHT SONG LYRICS (WORDS)

“LP Indians”

We are from Long Prairie

Indians is our name

We have not come to tarry

We have come to win this game (rah rah rah)

Following our colors

We will fight with all our might

Orange and black forever

We will fight fight fight

I-N-D-I-A-N-S

Gooooo Indians
